As you may have noticed, this blog has not been updated for a long time. That is because the subject of this blog, an individual I have come into conflict with in the past, has largely disappeared from blogging. I haven't seen or engaged with him for a long time, in any case.
Perhaps he has given up blogging. Commenting included. His blog was shuttered years ago. Because I sent some comments his way that I did not think he'd publish. So they were pretty outrageous, I admit. I was not happy that he decided to ban me from his blog because I called him out on a lie concerning his gun nuttery, which is that Chicago having a lot of murders is "proof" that sensible gun regulation doesn't work.
So I sent him some admittedly trollish comments. He closed down his blog a while later, but opened it to "invited readers". And, as has been the case with other bloggers in the past, he didn't use the "invited readers" option to shut down his blog. He actually invited people to read.
And he published the trollish comments I sent him for his invited readers to view. The point of this was to make me look bad. And, because I was not an invited reader, I couldn't delete the comments. Comments I submitted thinking he'd never publish them. And, if he did, I would delete them.
Oh well. I don't know if "invited readers" are reading dmarks' blog any longer. I think that that ploy was something that went on for a short while and now the blog is closed with no readers. I might be wrong, but I don't think so.
Anyway, I closed this blog because Dennis and I came to a peaceful accord. He dislikes Trump and actually voted for Hillary in the past potus election. He says. Not that I don't believe him. I just wasn't looking over his shoulder in the voting booth. Which raised my opinion of the fellow. At least he isn't a trumper.
That said, I stand by all the previous commentaries I wrote on this blog previously. I meant what I wrote when I wrote them. I haven't interacted much with Dennis recently, nor have I read any comments by him that offended me for quite a long time. As far as I am concerned our differences are in the past.
If Dennis were to return and start spewing his idiocy again my opinion on letting bygones be bygones might change. But it doesn't look like that's going to happen. I have seen some Dennis comments since closing this blog but they all contained zero idiocy for me to get offended by. His comments, as far as I remember, were actually all quite agreeable.
So this blog remains closed. Not deleted. Not set to "invited readers only" to hide it from view. Also not abandoned. Comments are still accepted and I will likely respond. If I see that a new comment has been submitted. But, given that this blog never saw much traffic when it was open, I seriously doubt anyone has looked at it in a very long time and I would actually be shocked if anyone commented.
